The Sandwich IL Weather website, which is owned and operated as a free service by Tom Rumish Website Development was switched to a dedicated computer this past week.

This new computer is for the sole purpose of gathering information from our outside weather station and uploading that information to the Sandwich IL Weather website. The new computer will not be used for any other purpose other than the Sandwich IL Weather website. This rather costly change was made to increase the reliability of the weather website. In addition, a second computer has been configured with the necessary software and connections. This second computer will be used as a back-up for the new primary computer used for the Sandwich IL Weather website.
